First Colony Flyers

Welcome to the 2026 summer swim season! We are looking forward to another summer of great swimming and fun with friends!  Registration for the pool is also open and is required for all members of the swim team, including our Goldfish group. NOTE: You must enter the Invoice # from your pool registration to join the Flyers. Please complete your family registration for the pool before registering with the Flyers. 

Afternoon practice will begin Tuesday, May 26 and run through Wednesday, June 10.

4:15 - 5:00      13 & up
5:00 - 5:45       9 - 12 year olds
5:45 - 6:15       8 & under

Note: Many of the coaches offer private lessons during the summer season and there are local swim clubs that will also offer summer prep options. 

Morning practices will run June 11 through July 31, Monday through Friday.

8:00 - 9:00      9-12 year olds (this age group may shift depending on registration numbers)
9:00 - 9:45      8 & under
9:45 - 10:45    13 & up

Note: for those swimmers that due to camp or other conflicts there will be early morning practice from 7:00-8:00am twice a week Wednesday and Thursday. 

Other Key Dates: 

1. First (friendship) meet will be Monday, June 15th @ Kingspoint

2. Summer Awards will be Saturday, July 25th

3. Champs will be held Saturday, August 1st

4. End of season celebration on Sunday, August 2nd

Team fees have increased slightly to $115 per swimmer with a sibling discount of $5 per additional child. Note, in addition a one-time, per family, $10 concession fee is being included this year for a total of $125 for the first swimmer. There is no need to purchase concession items. Our Concession Coordinator will take care of that ensuring well stocked concessions for all home meets. 

Our team, our meets and much more run on volunteers. Flyers families are required to fulfill volunteer commitments totaling four points for the first swimmer, and one additional point per additional swimmer with a cap of 6 points per family. (In general, one volunteer slot - timing, concessions, ribbon writing, etc. - is equal to one point). There are a number of jobs that begin now and can be fulfilled from your home or with flexible hours, and count for more than one point (e.g. ribbon prep, end-of-year event planning, fundraising, spirit activities, swim buddy coordination). Please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in one of those roles.  Those who choose not to fulfill their volunteer commitments by the end of summer swim season (August 1st) will be accessed a fee of $25 for every volunteer point required but not fulfilled by August 1st.
