Flyers Summer 2024 Kickoff and MORE!!!

Time Trials and Information Session – May 18^th at 5pm @ FC Pool

-Our Head Coach and legacy Flyer, Dillon, and our Flyers coaching staff will be conducting time trials/swim tests per the following times by age:

5:30pm: 9 and under

6:00pm: 10 and over

Time trials are to assess your child’s ability to swim for their safety. Year-round swimmers -- we know there is a meet and 100s of other things going on that day so please do not worry if you can’t make it. For those who are new and/or summer only swimmers, please note that the coaching staff must clear your child – i.e. they must be able to swim the length of the pool with little to no assistance from the side/lane lines/bottom of pool

-New? Have questions about swim team? This is time for parents to learn about the Team, key dates and anything else you might want to know about swim team.

- Not sure what size to order for the team suit? No worries, we will have suits for fitting.

-Have a team suit that doesn’t fit? Bring it and swap it. Same for fins!! Note we have plenty of kickboards but you will need to purchase your own fins. Questions on what to get? Feel free to ask and we will have same examples on hand.

Afternoon practice will begin Tuesday, May 28 and run through Thursday, June 13.

4:15 - 5:00: 13 & up

5:00 - 5:45: 9 - 12-year-olds

5:45 - 6:15: 8 & under

Morning practices will run June 17 through July 26, Monday through Friday.

8:00 - 9:00: 9-12 year olds (this age group may shift depending on registration numbers)

9:00 - 9:45: 8 & under

9:45 - 10:45: 13 & up

-June 9^th: Spaghetti Dinner

 ****Change of venue – pickup will be @ Giuseppe’s form 3pm – 5pm

-June 10^th: Merchandise distro @ FC Pool during practices

-June 17^th: FC Flyers @ WCP Manta Rays

-June 24^th: FC Flyers @ Kingsmill

-June 26^th: Team Photos - timing will be shared via email but will be first thing in the morning

Last Thing

Things may be a little different this year. Not only am I filling some very big shoes, but I am clearly not Laurel. I wish I could download all things Flyers that she knows, but I can’t.
