THANK YOU, FLYERS!

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make not just one, but two home meets possible this week. Our team runs entirely on volunteers, and these meets simply would not happen without your time, energy, and willingness to pitch in.

I also want to thank everyone for your patience. As the saying goes, there is no better test than real life—and let’s just say our first full run with TimeDrops was a learning experience! I truly appreciated everyone who checked in to see how they could help and those who worked alongside us to troubleshoot the challenges as they arose.

A special thank you to Tricia Sorrell, who stepped in when I had to leave for another meeting this evening, and to Brian and Jose for trusting the process as we worked through the issues. There are so many others who deserve recognition as well—from the moms who provided "electronic interference" this morning to the volunteers who showed up simply because an extra set of hands was needed, even when their own swimmer wasn’t competing tonight!!

Maybe it’s the exhaustion from what has been a rather eventful week, but tonight reminded me why this team is so special. We have an incredible community of families, coaches, swimmers, and volunteers who consistently show up for one another. There truly isn’t another team I’d rather be a part of.

I also want to recognize our coaching staff. While you may be young in years, you continue to demonstrate professionalism, composure, and grace that often exceed those with far more life experience. We are fortunate to have each of you leading our swimmers.

So, thank you, Flyers. Tonight we all came away winners—not just because of what happened in the pool, but because of the teamwork, resilience, and community we showed outside of it as well.
