Hi Flyers!

The temperatures are heating up, and so is the season! 🔥🏊

Tonight we host our neighbors and friends from down the road, the Greenspring Gators, and we’re looking forward to a great evening of racing, cheering, and summer fun.

Here are a few meet updates:

1. ⏱️ Time Drops: As mentioned, we’re using our new automated timing system tonight. All timers will receive a quick briefing, but here’s the short version: the button for your swimmer only needs to be pressed once—at the finish of the race.

We’ve tested the system and have our A-Team running the meet, but this is its first official outing, so we’re sure there will be a few lessons learned along the way. Thanks in advance for your patience and flexibility!

2. 📱 Live Updates: Time Drops has a mobile app called Time Drops Live! (Yes…we know…another app. 😄)

We’ll share the access code at the beginning of the meet so you can follow along in real time.

A friendly reminder: these are live, unofficial updates. They do not account for disqualifications or official scoring. Please do not run up to the meet referee, scorers, or volunteers if something looks off. SwimTopia remains the official source for final times, places, and points.

3. 🚗 Parking: Parking is limited and is available along the pool side of the street or back behind the pool only. Please set a great example by parking in designated areas or as directed by our parking attendants. A little courtesy goes a long way!

4. ☀️🦟🌦️ Come Prepared: It’s shaping up to be hot, buggy, and maybe even a little wet, so plan accordingly!

We’ll have Two Drummers serving dinner and Polar Ice bringing the frozen treats.

Parents are welcome to set up tents outside the pool deck, but please keep the gravel walkway and food truck area clear so everyone can get through safely.

5. 🎉 Have Fun! Whether this is your 100th summer swim meet or your very first, tonight is about enjoying an amazing sport, making memories, and supporting one another—especially our newest Flyers and those still finding their wings.

In that spirit, records that are set, broken, or shattered will not be announced during the meet. We want every swimmer to feel celebrated and every race to be about team, effort, and fun.
