Hello Flyers!

What a meet last night — one for the books! We knew it would be close, and it was—every race, every point, every cheer mattered. While we came up just three points short against the only other undefeated team, we are so proud of how our swimmers and volunteers showed up and gave it their all.

Yes, winning is fun — but growth often comes from the toughest moments, and growth is exactly what summer swim is all about. From best times to gutsy finishes to incredible teamwork, there was so much to be proud of. Our amazing coaches will highlight some of these in their upcoming recaps!

Now we look ahead to Awards this weekend:

Location: Queens Lake Pool, 234 E. Queens Drive, Williamsburg, VA

Volunteers Needed: We will need your help! The meet organizers are waiting for entries (due by 6pm today) before assigning volunteer roles across the teams. As soon as I receive those assignments, I’ll send an update and a sign-up alert — stay tuned!

Meet Format:

• 10 & Under: Morning Session — Warmups at 7:00 am, Meet starts at 8:15 am
• 11 & Over: Afternoon Session — Warmups at 12:00 pm, Meet starts at 1:15 pm

Let’s finish this season strong and show what it means to be a Flyer — resilient, spirited, and always supportive of each other.
